A Message From the Superintendent

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

Beaumont is located in the central part of Riverside County in Southern California. The District proudly serves over 9,500 students through our six elementary schools, two middle schools, one comprehensive high school, one alternative high school, and one adult education program. Our District has developed a well-earned reputation for providing highly regarded educational and county-leading extracurricular programs in order to meet the demands of our talented students.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our staff, and myself, we are very excited to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year. I am honored to be the Superintendent and look forward to serving our students, staff, and community═ż I am deeply committed to the success and the safety of every student. I will be actively involved and visible throughout the community and in our schools. The Beaumont staff and community members are valuable to me and your voice is an integral part to the success of our students. It takes a shared commitment (home, school, community) to achieve the important work we do for our students.

Our outstanding educational programs emphasize that students must develop lifelong skills and learn how to integrate them into higher order thinking abilities which involves critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, character, and citizenship. In order to achieve this goal, as an educational organization we must clearly articulate our focus on students by listening to different perspectives, and challenging assumptions on how we create a climate where we use this information to enhance the lives of our students, staff, and community.

There is so much to share and so much to celebrate in the Beaumont Unified School District. I hope you will take a few minutes to explore our District website and become active in our schools and community. I am overwhelmed with joy and invite you to share in the excitement of our high performing school district.

Yours in student success,

Terrence A. Davis
